Lithium-cobalt secondary battery cathode material market
According to the exclusive survey of CMC Corporation of Japan, lithium-ion secondary batteries have been developing rapidly since 1995 after Sony Corporation first entered the market in 1991. When mass production started in 1993, Sony mainly used it on the Video Camera, one of its main products, and then developed and applied it to personal computers, mobile phones, and PHS.
Cathode material
In order to allow lithium ions to diffuse in the crystal structure, secondary or tertiary diffusion path processing is required to deal with layered structure and bone structure respectively. If the stability of such a structure can be maintained, the charge-discharge cycle life can be improved. If this kind of substance can maintain a simple structure and composition as much as possible, the capacity of the battery will be increased. At present, cathode materials that can meet all the above conditions, in addition to LiCoO2, such as LiNiO2 and LiMn2O4 are the objects of practical development.
